Is catching “The Robot Revolution”, the opening episode of Doctor Who’s most recent series.
My only big question, on I realise show’s my ignorance?
Is I’m not completely sure how to pronounce the name of Varada Sethu, the actress playing new companion, Belinda Chancdra.
I think it’s va-RAR-da, with the stress on the middle syllable … but believe she pronounces it as va-ra-da, with the stresses, apparently, placed equally.
Or possibly as va-rad-a … !
One day … ?
I’ll get the hang of it!

Let’s move on.
With Irene and her partner, Jim, having time off, yesterday’s Teaser saw Mum*, Olga† and Debbi‡ putting in their answers: with Olga and Debbi scoring six out of six, and Mum on four.
Let’s see how everyone does with today’s five questions, shall we?
Q1)12th April, 1900, saw President William McKinley sign the Foraker act. The act gave limited self rule to where: there US Virgin Isles, American Samoa or Puerto Rico?
Q2)12th April is the International Day of Human Space Flight: which marks humanity’s first space flight. That flight was made by which cosmonaut?
Q3)12th April, 1947, saw the birth of talk-show host, David Letterman. His production company is called Worldwide … what: Web, Pants or Chat?
Q4)Tom Clancy was also born on 12th April, 1947. His first novel, The Hunt for Red October, was published in which year of the 1980s?
Q5)Finally … ? Emperor En’yū was born on 12th April, AD958. He was the 64th Emperor of where: China, Japan or Byzantium?
Q6)Finally … ? Tokugawa Yoshinobu surrendered Edo Castle to the Emperor’s forces: on 11th April, 1868. It marks the end of what: the Shogunate, Japanese Imperial rule or the Boxer Rebellion?
† There’s probably comments, there, Olga. I’ll just point you at Law 31.
‡ I’ve a nasty feeling, Debbi: that Robin Williams’ suicide was his equivalent of a dignified death. The autopsy showed he had an early-stage form of Lewy-body dementia …
Q5) Japan Law 31 works. Mind you, the opposite might be true as well, because I know people who work very hard but have a skill for always getting caught by the boss when they've just decided to take a mini-break or sit down for a second. Luck does play a part as well, I'm sure. I am covering an event related to Palm Sunday tomorrow and it's going to be pretty elaborate and long, so I am not sure if I'll be able to catch up with the teaser. In any case, if you don't see me, I'm walking around with the apostles and a donkey, so you know what's up.
I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?
I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.
Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.
Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.
Thank you.
* I know many value their online privacy. I respect that. But hope you respect my wish to see who’s commenting on my blog: and my wish for you to introduce your self to me, and to your fellow commentors.
