*        I’ll be honest, Olga¶, the books are worth the effort: if only for the world building.   But … ?   They are off-puttingly long.  My copy of The Fellowship of The Ring is 534 pages, and an inch and a half think.   That’s not including the maps … 

        I think the UK versions are still around: although I don’t think there’s any reprinted ones.   The only ones I’m seeing are second hand.
