* I forgot someone. If you’re going to mention funny lines in Star Trek, you have to mention Worf, as played by Michael Dorn. He had some of the best lines, and possibly served as the model for Seven of Nine.
† My lord, but those pastries look good, Olga! But they’d probably put my glucose levels through the roof! (I’m still waiting got the last set of results, so you know!)
Yeah: I believe the Terry Pratchett documentary got the same criticism, from the same sort of groups. But it also got a Scottish BAFTA …
The Spanish legislation sounds deeply complicated, Olga, it really does. But then, given safeguards are needed? That complexity is a requirement!
‡ Hello, Mum!
§ It must be, Debbi. I do know he’s declared a ceasefire in what he calls the ‘Twelve Day War’. In the hours since then … ? The head of the Israeli army has said that Iran’s violated the thing, and will be retaliating. ‘Ceasefire¶’ is a whore of a word …
¶ I don’t know where I read it, Debbi: but I read, somewhere, that the CIA never used the words ‘peace’, ‘truce’ or ‘ceasefire’ in their internal documents. They used the phrase ‘permanent pre-hostilities’.
Q5) luck Well done on the weight front! Yes, you're right about the sugar levels and the cocas. There are different types, but none of them are light on sugar. And yes, the Spanish law is complicated, although, as you say, considering the matter it deals in, it is not surprising. I hope your sugar levels are OK. I don't know if you're read new studies that link the injections (GLP-1 receptor agonists) to retinopathy and macular degeneration. It is a difficult thing to study, because diabetes has similar effects, but it is another good reason to keep doing the check-ups.
I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?
I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.
Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.
Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.
Thank you.
* I know many value their online privacy. I respect that. But hope you respect my wish to see who’s commenting on my blog: and my wish for you to introduce your self to me, and to your fellow commentors.
