Q3)The Dutch West India Company’s explorations of New Netherland were chartered : on 3rd June, 1621. The New Netherland colony was on the east coast of what’s now which country: the USA, Canada or Mexico?
† That’s a little like what happened to me, Olga. The Openreach/BT chap was due between one and six: and turned up at twelve. The TV guy … turned up at 12:30. My front room was a little crowded!
‡ I’m just wondering if there’s a baseball equivalent of the Old Firm Derby, Debbi: I’ve wondered about that for years!
Q5) an LP (I like the idea of launching teatowels...) I hope the virtual meeting goes well. My experience with BT wasn't too bad, in general, even though the telephone wires and connections in the house where I lived were very old and had to be replaced while I was living there.
I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?
I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.
Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.
Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.
Thank you.
* I know many value their online privacy. I respect that. But hope you respect my wish to see who’s commenting on my blog: and my wish for you to introduce your self to me, and to your fellow commentors.

Your blog is the first place I've seen a reference to the Old Firm Derby. :) So, I don't know.
