Which I first saw many years ago: and thought I should watch, again, after seeing Bakshi’s Wizards.
I have to ask one thing, though.
I’ve shown you the trailer, there.
And … ?
I’m feeling cynical about the thing: it describes the film as being “… beyond the reaches of the imagination”.
Which is a bit contradictory.
When someone clearly imagined enough of the movie, to get the thing made!

Let’s move on.
Yesterday’s Teaser saw Olga*, Debbi†, Mum‡ and Irene§ putting in their answers: with Debbi and Mum scoring five out of five, and Olga and Irene on four.
Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?
Q1)29th December is the 4th day of Kwanzaa. It’s marked by whom: African Americans, Italian Americans or Irish Americans?
Q2)James Earl Carter died on 29th December, 2024. He’d been the 39th president of where?
Q3)Lord Stockton died on 29th December, 1986. He was better known as which British Prime Minister: Winston Churchill, Harold McMillan or Harold Wilson?
Q4)Dale Morris was born on 29th December, 1982. He played what: football, Australian Rules Football or Rugby League?
Q5)Finally … ? The UK launched its first iron-clad frigate on 29th December, 1860. What was that ship: the HMS Thunderchild, the HMS Warrior or the HMS Indestructible?
“I would like to see the Punjab, North-West Frontier Province, Sind and Baluchistan amalgamated into a single state.”
From a Presidential Address delivered by Sir Muhammad Iqbal, given on 29th December, 1930.
And a song …
There’s a twelve question set is on 31st December, 2025: it’s the review of 2025.
The next ten question set is on 1st January, 2026: it’s about The Archers.
Your comments, and today’s answers, will be published in tomorrow’sTeaser.
AI is avoided when writing these questions.
Answers are as accurate as possible: at the time of writing.
Decisions about scores are final.
Thank you for coming: have a good day.
* Oh, tell me about it, Olga! Although, in all honesty? The last time something like this happened — last winter — I’m pretty sure I only had to turn one knob: not two. I think the chap who did the safety check, a while back, re-arranged things.
(Oh, it was Idi Amin, Olga: although I did a double check, when I saw your answer.)
† I can remember you and Rick being careful, crossing the road, Debbi! I’ll send a Twitter message when the truck’s ready!
‡ Hello, Mum!
§ Peace and quiet is always good, Irene!
(It was Kampala, Irene, rather than Johannesburg.)
Q5) the HMS Warrior I'm sure you're right. And I got distracted by the issue of him having been President and Prime Minister and got stuck with the name of his vice-President. I thought it was odd I didn't remember the name at all, but I don't think I was a big follower of Ugandan politics at the time, although, of course, Idi Amin became quite well known (unfortunately) later on.
I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?
I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.
Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.
Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.
Thank you.
* I know many value their online privacy. I respect that. But hope you respect my wish to see who’s commenting on my blog: and my wish for you to introduce your self to me, and to your fellow commentors.
