I’ve actually managed to make some spaghetti sauce, last night.
Just not very good spaghetti sauce!
I’m convinced I didn’t use enough tomatoes: and it’s not as creamy as it could be.
Frankly?
It’s more a spaghetti stew, a stew you can put on top of spaghetti.
Still: I’ve five more tubs of the stuff.
And I can always have it with potatoes, if I didn’t fancy pasta!

Let’s move on.
Yesterday’s Teaser saw Mum*, Olga† Debbi‡ and Irene§ putting in their answers: with Olga and Debbi scoring ten out of ten, Irene on nine and Mum on eight.
Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?
Q2)It was published in Le Petit Vingtième: the children’s section of a newspaper called Le Vingtième Siècle. The paper, and the children’s section, were published in which country: Belgium, France or Switzerland?
The next ten question set is tomorrow: it’s about the 1960s Batman TV show.
Your comments, and today’s answers, will be published in tomorrow’sTeaser.
AI is avoided when writing these questions.
Answers are as accurate as possible: at the time of writing.
Decisions about scores are final.
Thank you for coming: have a good day.
* Hello, Mum! (It was Belgium and reporter, Mum, rather than France and scout.)
† That’s where nutcrackers come in handy, Olga: you can use them to twist the cork off. Mind you, you’ll end up with cava all over the ceiling … …
‡ Ah … tomorrow might be your unlucky day, Debbi. I knew there was a villain I forgot to mention … ! (It’s amazing how many people have played the character. Julie Newmar, Eartha Kit, Carmen Biconderova, Anne Hathaway, Michelle Pfeiffer. I’m sure I’ve forgotten someone …)
§ I caught you late, I think, Irene: or, at least, the email turned up, late! (It’s a shame a friend’s taken his Tintin videos down: they were very informative)
Q5) the dirham I'll try to remember the nutcracker tip for next year. I normally only serve the drink and we have a few volunteers in charge of opening the bottles for us, but it might come handy. My mother and I don't drink, so I don't get a lot of practice...
There is one you missed. Lee Meriwether https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lee_Meriwether
1. 1944 2. France and Spain 3. Casablanca 4. Arabic 5. the dirham
Lee was also in one the original Star Trek episodes. As I recall, she went around killing guys in red shirts. At one point, she was "there for D'Amato." :)
Ring any bells? :) Or is this going back way too far? :)
I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?
I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.
Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.
Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.
Thank you.
* I know many value their online privacy. I respect that. But hope you respect my wish to see who’s commenting on my blog: and my wish for you to introduce your self to me, and to your fellow commentors.
