* Hello, Mum! (It was released in 1990, Mum, rather than 1996.)
† Eraserhead’s not weird, Olga. Well … not compared to Zardoz, it’s not! (I gave up on Zardoz, after about ten minutes: it’s just too odd!)
I’m not too sure on the t-shit front: although the Ron t-shirt needs tweaking: it’s needs to be in capitals to make it look more like the Frankie shirts. But I used to hand out ‘Nik Nak’s Old Peculiar’ t-shirts at the live quizzes I ran: they cost a fortune to make, but I charged a lot …
And yes: I remember the phrase: it was all over the place, wasn’t it? I know Eraserhead and The Elephant Man were in black and white. But I always imagined them being in colour: he had a depth to monochrome few others could match. The Lady in the Radiator? Those curtains are a deep red, I think: something that crops up in Twin Peak’s Red Room.
‡ It wouldn’t surprise me, Debbi. You’ve heard of The Archers, yes? The radio show on BBC Radio Four? The back office has maps of the area, and the individual locations: and has entire family trees!
Tolkien could possibly be jealous: and Star Trek possibly needs to catch up!
Talking of which … ? Star Trek: Starfleet Academy is now airing: and yes, that is Holly Hunter …
I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?
I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.
Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.
Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.
Thank you.
* I know many value their online privacy. I respect that. But hope you respect my wish to see who’s commenting on my blog: and my wish for you to introduce your self to me, and to your fellow commentors.
