After I’ve let my followers on the service know, finalised a few things … and told them, and you, where to find me …

Apple have introduced a new subscription service, their Apple Creator Studio, over the last few days: following Adobe, Microsoft, and many others, in introducing Software as a Service (SaaS) versions of some of their products*.
The suite include’s access to Final Cut Pro, Apple’s professional video editing suite, along side premium features for the iWork suite: Pages, Numbers and Keynote.
I’m a little unsure about committing to it, though, as it’s an extra, ongoing, cost.
I’d rather pay once, frankly.
We’ll have to see what happens, there.

Let’s move on.
Yesterday’s Teaser saw Mum†, Irene‡, Olga§ and Debbi¶ putting in their answers: with Mum, Olga and Debbi scoring five out of five, and Irene on four.
Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?
“It’s just a year since father died last May the fifth, on your name-day, Irina. It was very cold then, and snowing.”
From Act 1, scene I of Three Sisters.
A performance …
And an earworm …
The next ten question set is on 4th February: it’s about the Aldous Huxley novel, Brave New World.
Your comments, and today’s answers, will be published in tomorrow’sTeaser.
AI is avoided when writing these questions.
Answers are as accurate as possible: at the time of writing.
Decisions about scores are final.
Thank you for coming: have a good day.
* I know some subscription services — Apple’s Arcade service, for example — allow you to download things if you’re paying the subscription fee. But I’m still comfier paying a one-off fee, for permanent ownership.
† Hello, Mum¹!
‡ Morning, Irene¹: I like your new Facebook profile picture! (Curtis Strange plays golf, Irene, not American Football.)
§ I don’t object to paying for something, Olga¹: if I can afford it. So the £3 option seemed reasonable. Unfortunately, it doesn’t include verification. Yes, the automated customer services ’bot isn’t helpful: it’s not exactly a good advert.
Feel free to keep visiting, Olga: yes, I’d miss saying hello, too, but feel free to look me up on Bluesky.
¶ I intend to, Debbi¹! (Oh, a friend’s having some luck with his YouTube channel: and suggested including cold opens. I’ve tried making two or three for February’s teasers, so we’ll have to see.)
Q5) a play I’ve watched it several times, and it’s always been quite a lucky play for me. I remember I was once queuing to get some half-price tickets at the half-price ticket booth in Leicester Square, and some people came offering tickets at 5 pounds for a performance of the Three Sisters. And another time I was trying to get return tickets for another performance of the same play, also in London, and a group of women offered me a free ticket. One of their friends couldn’t go, and I guess they preferred to choose who sat with them. They refused when I offered to pay for the ticket, and they didn’t let me buy them ice-creams, sweets or anything. Of course, one of the characters in the play is called Olga, so… I’m sorry about the ongoing difficulties, although I think you aren’t the only one. I realised yesterday that another person I know and follow on Twitter, the sister of an author I have followed for a long time, isn’t showing on my notifications either, although she keeps tagging me and sharing stuff about my books. She tends to always tweet very similar tweets, about writers and books, and also about her brother’s books, and I wonder if that is the reason why. I normally exchange direct messages with her every day (only to say hello), so I hadn’t noticed her tweets were not appearing on my feed or notifications either. And I agree with you on the subscriptions malarkey. I have unsubscribed from many services, because I’d also much rather pay for something once and know it’s mine, and not have to worry about paying for it every month when it might not be convenient, although I they were mostly things I didn’t use a lot (or I couldn’t see much point, like the Wordpress org blog, that I started with the idea of trying to use it for commercial purposes, but it never worked that way. The free blog is good enough for what I do with it). I’ll visit your blog when I can. I don't use Bluesky either. To tell you the truth, I am wondering about getting rid of everything, but I keep them mostly for the work I do at the radio station now, otherwise...
I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?
I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.
Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.
Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.
Thank you.
* I know many value their online privacy. I respect that. But hope you respect my wish to see who’s commenting on my blog: and my wish for you to introduce your self to me, and to your fellow commentors.
† Your Facebook, X/Twitter, Blogger, Instagram, TikTok or LinkedIn profile are acceptable. I also like seeing folks webpages.
