Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 6th July 2026.
6th July, 2026.
Right … it’s Weight Management Monday … !
So, yes: I’m off To town to get my weight, checked, again.
I’d lost half a kilo, last week: hopefully, I’ve been able to keep that trend, going!
Keep your fingers crossed for me, please … !

On other fronts?
It’s always the way that — if you’re online, at this time of the morning — you see adverts.
It’s part of the price we pay, for using many websites.
The only problem … ?
The only problem I find, is the inevitable misleading ads.
A few years agoi, now, I got conned by a third party seller on Ebay: into buying USB sticks with a claimed capacity of some two terabytes, some two thousand gigabytes.
But which turned out to only hold some thirty-two gigabytes.
“Psycho gave me very wrinkled skin. I was in that shower for seven days - 70 setups. At least, he [Alfred Hitchcock] made sure the water was warm.”
Janet Leigh, July 6, 1927 – October 3, 2004.
And a joke from the late Dave Allen …
The next 10 question sets are on 11th, 13th and 30th July: they’re about World Horse Day, “I Don’t Like Mondays” and the Beano.
Your comments, and today’s answers, will be published in tomorrow’sTeaser.
AI is avoided when writing these questions.
Answers are as accurate as possible: at the time of writing.
Decisions about scores are final.
Thank you for coming: have a good day.
* Spelling mistakes are one sign of a dodgy site: as this page reminds us. By contrast? Spellings mistakes on a quiz blog are a sign the blogger needs new spectacles, food, and more sleep.
† Hello, Mum! (The Blitzspear’s a spaceship, mum, rather than a car.)
‡ Politics is always screwy, Debbi: at least in my experience.
Um … I don’t think Rebellion Publishing, 2000ad’s current publishers, have a US site: but a lot of the comic’s stuff is on Amazon.
I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?
I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.
Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.
Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.
Thank you.
* I know many value their online privacy. I respect that. But hope you respect my wish to see who’s commenting on my blog: and my wish for you to introduce your self to me, and to your fellow commentors.
† Your Facebook, X/Twitter, Blogger, Instagram, TikTok or LinkedIn profile are acceptable. I also like seeing folks webpages.
