Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 22nd October 2026.

22nd October, 2026.

Right … it’s the day before payday … and … ?

I’m looking forward to being able to have milk in my tea!

Heigh … ho … !

Have you heard of a coding language called PHP?   It’s also known as Personal Home Page, or PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor?

It’s one of the coding languages that underpins the modern web … and … ?

Researchers have used AI on the language, and found previously undiscovered security flaws.

Understandably, there’s a bit of a flap going on: with crackers already looking to exploit the holes.

On a personal level?

On a personal level, this doesn’t seem to be affecting my online banking systems: nor much of the sites I use on a regular basis.

But?

It’s a little worrying, isn’t it … ?

Let’s move on.

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Mum* and Debbi† putting in their answers: with Debbi scoring five out of five, and Mum on four.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?

Here they are, along with the How To, License and video.

Here’s a thought …
“It is terrible to destroy a person’s picture of himself in the interests of truth or some other abstraction.”
The Grass is Singing, Ch.2, by Doris Lessing, 22 October 1919 – 17 November 2013.
And a Damned song released on 22nd October, 1976 …

The next ten question sets are on 27th October, and the 8th, 10th and 19th November: they’re about Godzilla, Monty Python’s Life of Brian, All Quiet on the Western Front and Quatermass and the Pit.

Your comments, and today’s answers, will be published in tomorrow’s Teaser.

AI is avoided when writing these questions.

Answers are as accurate as possible: at the time of writing.

Decisions about scores are final.

Thank you for coming: have a good day.

*        Hello, Mum!   (Bridlington’s in the East Riding, Mum.)

†        The county, Debbi, or the name of the county?   It’s fill name is the East Fin-tim-lin-bin-whin-bim-lim-bus-stop-F’tang-F’tang-Olé-Riding of Yorkshire … which is a mouthful …
Funny ol’ thing, Debbi: one Banks novel, Excession, sees a lot of Culture AIs talking to each other.   It was the first thing I thought of, when I read this piece …
(I’ve put that link in my quiz spread sheet, Debbi: cheers for that!)

I love it when people comment. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?

I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.

Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively adult. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.

Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.

If you can also leave you comments on today’s Teaser Video, that would be good.

Thank you.
