The Daily Teaser — 7-7-2012

Well, I’ve GOT to  ask a question, here, after the excitement of Brentwood getting the Olympic torch relay go through, yesterday.

How on Earth is it a Lone Scotsman — Andy Murray, in this case — manage to get through to the final of a major tournament in his sport.

When the England football squad can’t get beyond the quarter finals of theirs … ?

Hmmm …

I’m thinking, here, that the FA should’ve maybe hired Murray’s coach, Ivan Lendl.

He can’t be any worse than SOME of the managers England have had …

Hmmm …

I think definitely moving on is key, here …

Just like the chap in the video …

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Debbi putting in her answers: and, along with commenting on the cost of her upcoming World Tour of the UKº, ALSO managing to bag 5 out of 6*

Oh.

And today’s Teaser video finishes with a quote from fantasy writer, David Eddings …
“Call it my little gesture toward social conscience, but I like to think I'm teaching a certain number of people to read. Now that sounds pretentious!”

*        Actually, Debbi, the chap concerned stood for Finsbury Central … !

º        Oh, I wish I could afford it at the moment, Debbi!   But keep an eye on your inbox: if nothing else, I can do some cheap and cheer cutting and pasting … !

I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?

I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.

Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.

Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.

Thank you.
