The Daily Teaser — 14-3-2013

Hmmm …

Well, that’s two obscure elections done with, then …

Both China and the Catholic Church have now got newly elected leaders.

I’ll have to admit, I’m none too sure which one’s going to be more important, long term.   The elections of Francis 1st and Xi Jinping as, respectively, pope and President of China will both affect roughly the same sized populations.

Which one’s actually the more important … ?   Blowed if I know.   But I do know — given my TV’s set to Radio 4 — that it’s Francis 1st that’s getting more airplay.

We’ll have to see what happens, won’t we … ?

Let’s get moving on, shall we … ?

Yes, let’s …

Oh, No, I’ve Got A Cold
“I am sitting on the sofa.

By the fire and staying in.

Me head is free of comfort

Me friends have run for cover,

They have left me pale and sick

With me pockets full of tissues

And me nostrils full of Vick.”
Pam Ayres, MBE, born 14 March 1947
Enjoy the day … !

  1. That can be a problem for writers, too. Especially when they're both authors and publishers. :) Not to mention bloggers. Jeez!

I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?

I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.

Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.

Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.

Thank you.
