The Daily Teaser — 3-4-2013

I have to admit, I usually watch a movie, Tuesday evenings.

You’d possibly noticed, hadn’t you … ?

Last night was actually something of an exception: I didn’t rent a movie.

No …

I actually rented a documentary, instead: a little thing called Nightmares In Red White And Blue, a potted history of the US horror genre.

Worth a watch, I felt: but not something I felt was worth my posting about.

And not quite as riveting as the History of Horror Mark Gatiss did for the BBCC a few years ago.

Let’s move on, shall we … ?   Before I show you my Frankenstein’s Monster impersonation …

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Debbi putting in her answers: along with admitting she’s got links everywhere*, she ALSO managed to score 5 out of 5.   Yesterday also saw @soolebop tweeting the one answers he felt confident of — Rastafarianism — and scoring one.
Let’s see how they — and you — do with today’s questions shall we … ?

Here they are, along with the ‘How To’, License and video …

Q1) 3rd April, 1882, saw who gunned down by Robert Ford … ?
Q2) More to the point, what was the name of the 2007 film about the latter’s death at the hands of Robert Ford … ?
Q3) Who played the murdered man in that film … ?
Q4) Moving on … 3rd April, 1981, saw the release of the world’s first portable computer: what was it called … ?

And here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …

Given today sees the birthday of Brotherhood Of Man frontman, Tony Orlando, I’ll offer up what has to be one of the cheesiest songs ever written …

And this quote from Tony Benn, former Viscount Stansgate: it’s his birthday, as well, and the quotes a touch more aspirational …
“I cannot hand away powers lent to me for five years by the people of Chesterfield. I just could not do it. It would be theft of public rights.”
Tony Benn, born 3 April 1925
You can ALSO say happy birthday to local councillor, Karen Chilvers: if you get the chance, you can also tell her about how good Game Of Thrones is.

Have a good day …

*        You know, I’m trying to avoid thinking of octopi, here, Debbi … :D (Actually, geeky bit of info for you: Robert Caillieu loosely based the http protocol on Apple’s own Hypercard software.   Just so you know … )

I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?

I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.

Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.

Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.

Thank you.
