Monday 26 August 2024

Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 26th August 2024.

26th August, 2024.

It’s Monday … and I’m up late!

With (informal) permission, I should add.

Assuming ‘permission’ is the right word.

At any rate … ?

It’s bank holiday Monday.

Which means I’ve got the day off from my weight management class: as it’s shut.

OK: I can’t track my weight journey.

But at least I avoid walking up Warley Hill!

Mother Teresa, 26 August 1910 – 5 September 1997.
A song …

And an earworm

Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.

Decisions about scores are final.

Thank you for coming: have a good day.

*        Hello, Mum: have you got any more of those sausages?

I think you’d do well at it, Debbi!   :D
Oh, a couple of Terry Pratchett novels use the phrase “the light at the end of the tunnel is an on-coming train.”   Turns out it’s a Half Man Half Biscuit song …

‡        Was there a theme for this festa, Olga?   There’s something of a film/comics feel to it!   And I saw that Akira Toriyama gets a mention: apparently, he’s quite a well know manga writer§.   Oh, and I noticed a few Harry Potter themed figures.   Oh, it sounds like The Amazing Maurice is available in Spanish: if you wanted to drop hints for next time!

§        He did the Dragonball strip that gets a photo or two.

  2. Ah! Well ... I might at that.

There's a comic book store not far from where I live that I think has some of those role-player books. I should get one. :)

I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?

I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.

Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.

Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.

Thank you.
