Setting a Barack’ing Good Table

Just thought, it’s late, and quiet, so, while I’ve the chance, I’ll do my usual teasing, and preview this weeks table round questions.   With the up-coming inauguration of President Obama, on Tuesday, you can probaby guess the theme, can’t you?

Q1) In 1979, Barack Obama graduated Punahou High School; – in which Hawaiian  town is this school?

Q2) In which animated state capital did Barack Obama announce his candidacy for the President of the United States?

Q3) Who has Senator Obama pick as his vice-presidential candidate?

Q4) Obama says that his alternate career choice would have been what; – Pastor, Architect, Doctor,  Lawyer or Psychologist?

Q5) Who has Barack Obama recently named as his Secretary of State?

Q6) ‘Barack’ is a Swahili word that means ‘He who is …’ what?

Q7) Barack Obama is the sixth post war president to be … what?

Q8) Barack Obama owns which brand of laptop?

Q9) Who’s the better golfer, Barack Obama, or Bill Clinton?

Q10) Aside from the by now much talked about puppy, President Elect Obama is planning to install what, at the White House?

Oh, and I’ve thrown in the YouTube video for Siouxsie and The Banshees favourite, “Happy House”, as well.   I know the more scholastic will probably be able able to dig up counter examples of Early Gothic, but …

Which, now I think of it, Adrian, that’ll probably includes the already posted Lené Lovich, The Damned, and Killing Joke, but you’ve gotta admit, Siouxsie’s STILL got better legs than Messers Vanian and Coleman …

And, yes, I know, you’ve seen them at the Hackney Empire, haven’t you …?

I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?

I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.

Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.

Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.

Thank you.
