Tuesday’s Teaser

Well, here we go, again!

As you’ve probably worked out by now, I’ll be re-using the Valentines Night Questions set, at The Hutton on Thursday, along with the re-written table round, but, for Tuesday at the King Harold, we’re back to un-snowed-out normal.

So, as you’ve probably come to expect, by now, here’s the preview of this Tuesday’s Table round; – and considering myself and a couple of friends have been talking about watching one of the titles, it seemed an idea to throw it in.

Here, enjoy this little lot; – I’ll see you all Tuesday, if not after …

Q1) Aladdin”, “The Seventh Voyage of Sindbad”, and “The Thief of Baghdad”, are all taken from which Arabic book?

Q2) Which James Bond film title was — according to James Bond’s creator, Ian Fleming — the Bond family motto; – “The World is Not Enough”, “Goldeneye”, or “Diamonds Are Forever”?

Q3) Lewis Carroll’s surreal poem, “The Jabberwocky”, was turned into a film by which comedy troupe?

Q4) Who was the author of the “Lord Of The Rings” trilogy?

Q5) The Hellbound Heart” is the short story that got turned into which horror film franchise?

Q6) Margaret Mitchell wrote which famously filmed novel?

Q7) Terry Pratchett’s Discworld novel, “Mort” was due to be filmed, until Terry decided against it; – because an unnamed studio exec asked if he could remove one of the two central character’s.    WHICH central character?

Q8) Which literary work chronicles the imprisonment of Edmond Dantes in the Chateau D’if ?

Q9) Benjamin Braddock known is as the title character of a well known novel and film; – WHICH well known novel and film?

Q10) What was the only non James Bond novel by Ian Fleming to be turned into a film?   (And, subsequently, a stage musical?)

Oh, and enjoy the music, by the way; – couldn’t resist these, after people I know mentioned them on Facebook …

I’ll probably post a few more, at some point; – I know for a fact I’ve the Lego* version of the Camelot song from “Monty Python and The Holy Grail” floating around, somewhere!! It’s just a shame no—one’s done a halfway decent Lego “Timewarp” …

    * Legoification? Legoimé? YOU decide!

I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?

I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.

Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.

Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.

Thank you.
