Back and Back, again …

Well, there’s a thing.

I’ve got to admit, last night wasn’t a movie night.   Basically, I couldn’t get enough people together.

But, bless him, Paul popped over for a cuppa, and a couple of games of Backgammon; something I’ve played for years, but Paul hadn’t.

Rather enjoyable evening, all told.

But, just in case you’d not heard of Bavkgammon, or played it for yourself, I’d suggest having a couple of games, just to try it and see what you think.

The screenshot, above, is from my copy of the rather good shareware Absolute Backgammon application, which you can download, here.   But there’s also various open source versions, as well as online ones.   There’s also FIBS — the First Internet Backgammon Server — which is seems extensive, but I’m still getting the hang of.

You can also check out the Wikipedia page about it, it’s got some very handy links.

Worth checking out, I always think.

Post a Comment

I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?

I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.

Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.

Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.

Thank you.

*   I know many value their online privacy. I respect that. But hope you respect my wish to see who’s commenting on my blog: and my wish for you to introduce your self to me, and to your fellow commentors.
