A Crowded House …
5 comments:
I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?
I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.
Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.
Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.
Thank you.
* I know many value their online privacy. I respect that. But hope you respect my wish to see who’s commenting on my blog: and my wish for you to introduce your self to me, and to your fellow commentors.

well pj....... rhiannon was to shy to write on ur blog so i thought i would have a little go.
ReplyDeleteUBUNTU..... (aka umbefump)
i had never even heard of this before u told me about it and all the other share ware software ( being a tight git anything free is good for me).
with regaurd to umbefump and windoze all of us have found it very very easy to use compaired to windoze ( even little tom 4years old) in fact i would say its easier than windoze for a hell of a lot of things. we all just got on it and managed to do whatever we needed and seemed to no where to look for it. its very simalar to use as windoze and anyone who has ever used a windoze pc would be able to use umbefump with ease.
with all the software available for it its a very good choice ( looks like the desktops windoze days are numbered now pj ).
ANTIVIRUS and MSN
today we went to pj's with the aim of putting msn live messenger and some security protection on my umbefump laptop. once again paul (steve jobs) downie came up trumps.....
not sure what he done as i am the worlds biggest computer bok, but after clicking here and clicking there, i now have a version of msn ( makes rhiannon very happy)which i have just been on and it is every bit the same as msn on windoze and anti virus software (all completly free i might add)that was very easy to install and register.
in a nut shell i think umbefump is a great alternative to windoze for those of us that cant afford a mac and with all the icandy and extra bits you can get for FREE.... i think its the way forward.
Tim n Adele
You know, Tim, I’ve an old friend — Movie Night Adrian — who’s a biggie on open! We’ll have to see if we can persuade him, to night!!
ReplyDeletewell there i was blabbing on how good umbefump was then this morning my bloody laptop crashed........
ReplyDeleteapparently i had a grub error 17.... sounds painfull.....
but once again me old m8 pj came to the rescue.
we tried doing something called bios ( aint got a clue what that is)
then some test things.
none seemed to work.
so i put the umbefump disc pj made for me in and re booted.
this was the easiest re boot i have ever done. i have had to reboot my old desktop a few times and it asks so many questions which being computer illiterate i am never sure of the answers, umbefump however wanted to know only a couple of things i.e. password my name and where in the world i was, it then re instaled in about 10 mins.
once it had finished it restarted and update manager opened itself up and re installed 253 updates in about 2 mins i did not have to do anything exept wait and eat my lovely fry up adele cooked for us.
i have however had to re install flash player which was easy but i cant work out the antivirus or amsn..... pj over to u for them........
its all back as it was now apart from those 2 things but i can live without them till i see pj in the week
thanks for your help this morning paul
It’s short for Basic Input / O utput System.
ReplyDeleteIf I’ve understood it, correctly, Tim, it’s a very high tech equivalent of a car’s ignition; it gives every thing the kick to get going.
(Pointless bit of info, for you, Tim; back when computers were first built getting it going could be tricky. So the occasional kick, helped … )
UMBEFUMP.........
ReplyDeleteits free, easy and anyone can have a go.... just like a good woman.....
just been on face book and wanted to upload a pic from rhiannons mobile...
so i done it like i do normally on windoze but i needed a PLUGIN apparently.... (dont no what it is but needed it)
umbefump told me i needed it and i just had to click install and a few mins later it was done......
UMBEFUMP............. its computing for the thick ( thats me by the way)
if it ain't got it it will tell u and do it for you...........!
how much simpler can it get.........
