An afternoon out

Phew!

Well, now, there’s a thing … !

Can I make a confession?

Can I?

I think I’m going, anyway …

I’ve just had a rather nice dinner/lunch/meal/what-have-you, with the woman I love.

Which sounds vaguely tacky, I know, but there you go.

I do know that — with both of us out of work — it’s not that often we get to go out, as a couple.

And — Brentwood being Brentwood — there’s not that many choices for those on a budget.

There’s plenty of places around, though, that offer a fair compromise between price and quality, though, if you’re prepared to look, though.

Believe it or not, we went for Nandos.

Which is somewhere I know neither of us had been.

I think we were both pleasantly surprised with the Peri-Peri chicken wings, with chips that we had, although I know Allison’s not usually a big fan of spicy food.

She’s still not: I don’t think we finished the chicken.

But we did finish the chocolate cheesecake we had afterwards.

Which was SUPERB, by the way.

So, while I’ll admit we had a posh version of a KFC, I think I can speak for both of us.

And say we had a great St Valentines Day … !

I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?

I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.

Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.

Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.

Thank you.
