You know, I almost forgot …

You know, I’ve got to admit, I couldn’t resist putting that photo up, I really couldn’t.

Just so you know, that church is the local Anglican one, and is called Saint Thomas: named after Saint Thomas à Becket, so you know. Brentwood — historically — was on the pilgrimage route to Canterbury, so you know.

Let’s move on, shall we … ?

And yes, I know having that photo up is possibly strange, but there you go.

One thing I know I forgot to mention, in the post about the last residents meeting, was the simple fact that Brentwood Council are to hold the Planning Committee meeting about the planned flats on Saint James Road.

Which looks like it’s going to get seriously refused, hopefully.

But, at any rate, it’s going to be held at 7PM, on the 7th of September, this year.

Monday after after next, in other words.

Next off … ?

Is simply the fact that — as a result of quietly having a word with Sara Bartleman, who’s South Anglia’s housing officer for Rollason Way — this coming Wednesday sees TSG turning up to have a look at my boiler.

Now, granted, it’s in working condition.

But, as I pointed out to Sara, given that many of my neighbours have had problems with the air-pressure valve on the Potterton boilers we’ve all got … ?

I asked if they could come out and do a little preventative maintenance.

Here’s hoping it goes well.

I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?

I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.

Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.

Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.

Thank you.
