The Brentwood Gazette’s Weekly Teaser — 18-9-2013: The Empire

Blimey … !

Has anyone else bought this week’s Brentwood Gazette … ?

I’ve actually managed to get another postal mauling: from Bronwen Callow, in Hutton Village, after last week’s 9/11 Teaser.

One half of me is … not happy, per sé: but certainly pleased to know I’m getting read.

The other … ?   Is frantically — and mentally — going over a suitably tactful reply.   Especially as I believe Bronwen was one of the regulars of my old Hutton pub quiz.

Small town, Brentwood …

At ANY rate … ?

At any rate, it’s one week later: a Wednesday, in case you hadn’t guessed.

Which means, of course, that it’s time for this week’s Brentwood Gazette Teaser: covered by the usual Creative Commons License*.

Q2) In which year did that body finally collapse: 603, 604 or 605 AD … ?

Q4) Who was his predecessor in the post … ?

I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?

I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.

Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.

Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.

Thank you.
