The Brentwood Gazette’s Weekly Teaser — 6-11-2013: SUEZ!

Oh, now that’s sad …

Seems a four year old girl in Leicestershire was killed, after being attacked by the family’s pet dog.

Sad … ?   No, I’m thinking that it’s tragic, as all these things always are.

I’m ALSO expecting there’s going be an almighty fuss: both pro-and-anti dog.

All I can wonder is simple, really … ?   However devastating this is for the parents, I have to ask if they were keeping a seriously close eye on both dog or child.   Although I’m as aware as anyone — having occasionally looked after my three-year-old nephew — that it only takes a few minutes for a child to get into mischief: would only take Jude a few minutes, as a nasty thought, to get into trouble with an otherwise friendly dog.

Hmmm …

Fingers crossed, there, I think.

I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?

I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.

Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.

Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.

Thank you.
