The Daily Teaser — 24-5-2014

Right, I think we can say it’s definite, then.

Dr Who series 8, the first with Peter Capaldi as the 12th Doctor …

Starts in August.

The reason we know this … ?

Is the fact that the BBC released a Teaser trailer to YouTube, last night.

Here …

You notice, of course, it doesn’t say when in August … ?

I’m betting, though, it’ll be one of the last two Saturdays: the 23rd or 30th, giving us an season end in mid to late November.

Just enough time to get excited for Christmas …

~≈¢≈~
But let’s move on, shall we?

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Debbi* putting in her answers: and scoring five out of five.

Let’s see how she — and you — do with today’s questions, shall we?

Here they are, along with the How To,  License and video …

Q1) 24th May, 1991, saw the conclusion of Operation Solomon, an Israeli operation to evacuate Jewish people: from which African country … ?

Q4) 24th May, 2007, saw the birth of Maru: a cat who’s since gone on to find fame on which website … ?
Q5) Finally … 24th May, 2002, sign the SORT treaty on arms reduction: also known as the Treaty of where … ?
Here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …

I’ll leave you with Paul Paray’s† Symphony No. 2 in A major …

And this thought …
“To form a truly free constitution, that’s to say, truly just and wise, the first point, the main point, the capital point, is that all the laws be agreed on by the people, after considered reflection, and especially having taken time to see what’s at stake”
Jean-Paul Marat‡, in a letter to Camille Desmoulins.
Have a good day.

I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?

I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.

Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.

Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.

Thank you.
