The Daily Teaser — 12-8-9: The Battle Of Marathon

That’s an odd one …

Seems I’ve missed a special delivery.

I have to admit, I was out, yesterday: after job searching at the job centre — it looks like I’ve bagged a couple of interviews, by the way — I headed up to town to get some milk.

I got back at around half past One.

And checked my mail, after the plumber had been.

I got back at just after half past One.   Seems the postman turn up at five to two, when I was in.   13·56, according to the card.

When I was in!

He could’ve knocked, is my point.

~≈Â≈~

Which is what gets me, at the moment.

No.

I’m wondering what on EARTH’S been delivered.

With my luck … ?

Well, with my luck, it’ll be something unwanted: a court summons, say, or an arrest warrant.

Something like that.

It couldn’t possibly be a cheque!

But let’s move on, shall we?

I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?

I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.

Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.

Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.

Thank you.
