The Daily Teaser — 1-11-2014

Oh, now that looks like it could be interesting …

You’ve possibly worked out — by now — I’m a Dr Who fan.

Hadn’t you … ?

I hope so … !

At any rate, we’re getting towards the final episode of the 2014 season — series 8, if you’re wondering — and I have to say: it’s looking good.

I’ve got one question, though.

And it’s the same one everyone else has got.

Frankly … ?

Well, frankly, I think that’s only going to get answered when we see the cliff-hanger.

And that’s only going to happen tonight: at the earliest.

But let’s move on, shall we?   Before we get distracted … !

*        Well … Remember telling me you’d had trouble with step: on this site?   I’m on an older version of OS X, but what you can do — in the version I’m using — is something like this

Once I’ve got the little box open, I can type in ‘/Library†’ to go to my system’s Library folder.   Putting in ‘/LaCie/Series/Doctor Who’ takes me to the folder on my external drive where I keep all my Dr Who videos.

Does that help?

(And, yeah, kudos to Tim Cook!   Wouldn’t you know it, though, SOMEBODY’S being old fashioned about it!)

†        It’s a BIT geeky: but ‘/’ represents your hard drive.   It’s also used to separate parts of a path name: the version of a file’s name that tells you where it is, as well as what it’s called.

I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?

I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.

Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.

Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.

Thank you.
