The Daily Teaser — 23-11-2014

Well, that’s something.

If you’ve been following me for a while, you know I live in a small Essex town, called Brentwood: best known, to some, as home to The Only Way Is Essex.

A town that used to — but now doesn’t — have a cinema.

I, personally, like the the idea of living in a town with a cinema: and have written about  Brentwood Council’s attempt to get one built for some time.

I added another post to the pile, last night: mostly about how I’d sent a letter to cinema chains, to see what size cinema they’d find viable.

Hopefully, I’ll hear back, soon.

Either way?   Either way, I should thank Old Peculiar regular, Debbi, and everyone else who commented on the post, last night: Mike, Terrence and Dave.

Now … Let’s move on …

~≈Ÿ≈~

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Debbi* putting in her answers: and scoring five out of five.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?

Here they are, along with the How To, License and video …

Q1) 23rd November, 1963, saw the first broadcast of Dr Who.   Who’s currently playing the Doctor?
Q2) More to the point, his current companion — Clara — born on 23rd November, 1986.   Who plays Clara?
Q3) 23rd November, 1248, saw forces led by Ferdinand 3rd of Castile, conquer where: Madrid, Barcelona or Seville?
Q4) 23rd November, 1984, saw up to 1000 people trapped by fire.   At which London Underground station: Oxford Circus, Tottenham Court Road or Holborn?
Q5) 23rd November, 2001, saw the Convention on Cybercrime open for signing.   In which European city?
Q6) Finally … 23rd November, 2002, saw the organizers of the Miss World contest announce they were moving the contest to London: after extensive protests in the original host country.   Which country was it?
Here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …

I’ll leave you with the menacing sounding, Goin’ Down South …

And with this thought …
“The monster was the best friend I ever had”

Boris Karloff, 23 November 1887 – 2 February 1969.
Enjoy your day.

I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?

I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.

Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.

Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.

Thank you.
