The The Daily Teaser — 22-3-2015: Introducing The Beatles …

Hmmm …

Looks like I can do that …

Sorry, I’ve been playing with my new phone, again … !

Turns out I can take photos: which you possibly guessed, hadn’t you … ?

These day’s, that’s a given.

But the camera on it?   Is one of those that can take panoramic photos.

Like the one I took, on Crown Street: just behind Brentwood High Street.

Hmm …

Nice to have, I think.

Although how much use it is to me?

Well, only time will tell …

~≈Ù≈~

But let’s move on, shall we?

Yestesterday’s Teaser saw Debbi* putting in her answers: and scoring five out of five.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?

Here they are, along with the How ToLicense and video …

Q1) 22nd March saw the UK release of the first Beatles album: what was it called?
Q2) It was released in which year of the 1960s?
Q3) The album was on which record label: Parlophone, EMI or Virgin?
Q4) The album was produced by whom: John Lennon, George Martin or Tony Visconti?
Q5) The album’s opening song — I Saw Her Standing There — was written by whom?
Q6) The band’s first single was taken from side two of the LP.   What was it called?
Q7) Chains — by Carole King and Gerry Goffin — was on side one of the album.   Which Beatle sang it?
Q8) What was the only song on the album sung by Ringo Starr?
Q9) How much did each Beatle get paid, for each recording session?
Q10) Finally … the last song on the album was originally a hit for the Isley Brothers.   What was the song?
Here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …
Q1) 21st March is the International Day Of Forests.   Most forests contain what: fish, trees or bushes?
A1) Trees.
Q2) 21st March is also World Down Syndrome Day.   The condition is caused by a third copy of which chromosome?
A2) Chromosome 21.
Q3) 21st March, 1556, saw Thomas Cranmer burnt at the stake.   Which Church of England post had he famously held?
Q4) 21st March, 1980, saw the first airing of Dallas episode, A House, Divided: which ended with the shooting of J. R. Ewing.   Who shot J. R?
A4) His sister in law, Kristin Shepard.   (As I recall, this was the original TV series media frenzy.)
Q5) Finally … 21st March, 1993, saw the birth of Welsh martial artist, Jade Jones.   She was Britain’s first Olympic Gold medallist in her chosen disciple.   What is it: Ju-jitsu, Taekwondo or karate?
A5) Taekwondo.
I’ll leave you with this thought …
“I declare that The Beatles are mutants.   Prototypes of evolutionary agents sent by God, endowed with a mysterious power to create a new human species, a young race of laughing freemen.”
Timothy Leary.
And the band’s best selling single …

Enjoy your day …

*        Oh, by the way, Debbi, did I tell you a friend mentioned A Serbian Film to me, yesterday?   I think we can safely say it’s one to AVOID … !

I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?

I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.

Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.

Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.

Thank you.
