The Daily Teaser — 19-8-2015: I’m Your Venus

Blow … !

If it’s not one thing, it’s another … !

You know I’ve replaced my TV: after my old one gave out?

Last night … ?

I had two monitors hooked up to my Mac.   Which I found very useful.

One of them curled up and died, yesterday.

Seemingly, at any rate.

Personally … ?   I’m not too worried: as my main monitor is still going strong.

Still … you never realise how useful dual monitors can be, until you try it.

I’ll have to see if I’ve still got that spare … !

~≈Ω≈~

But let’s move on, shall we?

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Debbi* putting in her answers: and scoring five out of five.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s Venusian Teaser, shall we?

Here it is, along with the How ToLicense and video …

Q1) 19th August, 295 BC, saw Quintus Fabius Maximus Gurges dedicate the first Roman temple to Venus.   Venus was the Ancient Roman Goddess of what: cheese, love or war?

Q10) Finally … The Birth Of Venus — thought to have been painted around the 1480s — was painted by whom?
Here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …
Q1) 18th August, 1877, saw Asaph Hall discover Phobos: a moon of Mars.   What’s the other moon of Mars, called?
A1) Deimos.
Q2) 18th August, 1977, saw the arrest of which South African activist?

I’ll throw in this quote …
“When archaeologists discover the missing arms of Venus de Milo, they will find she was wearing boxing gloves.”

John Barrymore.
And this tune …

Have a good day.

*        Ah … Then today’s ten question set turns up … !   Sorry about that, Debbi: but I’ve wanted an excuse to use that Bananarama tune for years … !

I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?

I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.

Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.

Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.

Thank you.
