The Daily Teaser — 24-10-2015

You know, that’s a vague worry …

Did I tell you my mother has TalkTalk as her internet service provider … ?

She’s got TalkTalk as her internet service provider.

So the news the company’s been hit by its third hack attack in the space of eight months … ?

That’s … worrying …

I can only hope she’s changed all her passwords.

Just in case … !

But let’s move on, shall we?

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Debbi* putting in her answers: scoring nine out of ten in the process.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?

Here they are, along with the How ToLicense and video …

Q1) 24th October, 1998, saw NASA launch the Deep Space 1 probe.   The craft was heading for what: a comet, an asteroid or Mars?
Q2) 24th October, 1949, saw the foundations laid for the headquarters of the United Nations.   That HQ is in a borough of which US city?
Q3) Arsenal’s 49 game unbeaten record came to an end: on 24th October, 2004.   Who beat them?
Q4) 24th October, 51 AD, saw the birth of Emperor Domitian.   Domitian was the last Roman Emperor from which dynasty: the Julio-Claudians, the Antonines or the Flavians?
Q5) Finally … 24th October, 1966, saw the birth of Russian investor and businessman, Roman Abramovich.   Which Premiership side does he own?
Here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …

I’ll leave you with this thought …
“It’s only people who are hysterical who can play hysterical parts.”

Dame Sybil Thorndike, 24 October 1882 – 9 June 1976.
And this tune …

Have a good day …

*        That’s half the fun, though, Debbi … ! :D

I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?

I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.

Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.

Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.

Thank you.
