The Daily Teaser — 7-2-2016: The Prince of Wales

At LAST … !

I have a Sunday off!

He says, grabbing some tea …

I work shifts: just in case you did know.

And, as the sales rise and fall over the year, where I work, the hours go up and down.

I can deal with that: I get enough financial help to be able to cope.

But it IS nice to have a Sunday off: it means I can have dinner with my family: including my nephew, Jude, who I haven’t seen for a few weeks.

Frankly … ?   I’m looking forward to that …

But let’s move on, shall we?

Yesterday’s teaser saw Olga* and Debbi† putting in their answers: with both scoring five out of five.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?

Here they are, along with the How ToLicense and video

Q1) Edward of Caernarfon became England’s first Prince of Wales: on 7th February, 1301.   He became King of England, under which name: Edward 1st, Edward 2nd or Edward 3rd?
Q2) Who was the last Welsh Prince of Wales?
Q3) Edward of Caernarvon was the son of which English king: Edward 1st, Edward 2nd or Edward 3rd?
Q4) Who’s the current Prince of Wales?
Q5) Finally … the Prince of Wales is usually the heir to the British throne.   As such, he would be what: Heir Apparent, Heir Presumptive or Heir Restorer?
Here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …

I’ll leave you with this motto …
“Ich Dien.”
Motto of the Princes of Wales.   (Translated from German, the phrase means ‘I Serve.’)
And this hymn …

Enjoy your day …

*        Oh, I know what you mean, Olga: too many books, and not enough time … !   (I’m sure I’ve heard that before …)

†        Well … it’s only a parallel world in that it’s one with a magic carpet‡, Debbi.   Which reminds me, I’ve really got to re-read Sideways In Time, again.

‡      It’s set in a version of the modern world where Seerkind — Barker’s equivalent to the fairies — exist: and are persecuted by normal humanity.   The carpet — or Fugue — is a hiding place they’ve developed to got out of the way of the book’s villains: a monstrous angel, a human policeman … and a Seerkind who’s been the rejected by her own people.

I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?

I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.

Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.

Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.

Thank you.
