“The story of the Tolpuddle Martyrs marks a watershed for industrial relations in Britain.”
From Information Britain’s article about the Martyrs.
And this video …
Enjoy your day …
* I know I worked at the DominionTheatre‡, at one point, Olga: just off Tottenham Court Road. I could only afford to, as I still lived with my family and didn’t have to pay rent. I’d imagine imagine many of Central London’s McDonalds staff face the same issue. they’d only be able to do the job with a LOT of help!
† That we will, Debbi! (First things first, though, I’d have to get the two other TV series I’ve got sitting on assorted hard drives out of the way, first! Series 2 of The Strain and Series 3 of House of Cards. I THINK I’m going to need time off … )
‡ Oh, looks like it’s showing War of the Worlds … Love to see how the producers crowbar a tripod on stage … !

Sounds like the festival was going on while I was over there! Lo so many years ago! :)
I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?
I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.
Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.
Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.
Thank you.
* I know many value their online privacy. I respect that. But hope you respect my wish to see who’s commenting on my blog: and my wish for you to introduce your self to me, and to your fellow commentors.

Have fun with your binge watching! :)
