Penny Dreadful — Series 3 - Episodes 6 & 7: No Beast So Fierce & Ebb Tide

Well …

Another day … another dollar.

Or, in this case … ?

Another interview.   For a well known DIY chain.

Frankly?

I’m a little concerned.   As, despite having taken the requested ID documents in, was never asked to show them.

Understandably?

I’m concerned I might not get hired … because the interviewers forgot to check something … !

At any rate … ?

At any rate, I’ve a free evening, tonight.

And another interview in the morning.

One that sounds … slightly LESS kosher than the one I’ve done, today.

At least, going by the research I’ve done today.

See what you can find for Valo Group, Europe, if you ever get the chance.

They’s barely been around for five minutes, and where they’re registered … is not where I’m being interviewed …

That said?

That said, I want to try and not get to stressed about the morning.

By relaxing in front of the television.

You’re right.

With two more episodes of Penny Dreadful’s third season …

Episode 6 — No Beast So Fierce — sees Vanessa (Eva Green) attempting to find out more about Dracula: her own personal nemesis.   In doing so?   She contacts Ferdinand Lyle (Simon Russell Beale), who puts her in touch with Catriona Hartdegen (Perdita Weeks): a noted thanatologist who knows more than she seems to.

With Lily (Billie Piper) organising an army of street whores into a potential revolution, Dorian (Reeve Carney) is starting to question the affair: and Justine (Jessica Barden) getting more and more … boisterous!

Need one add that dinner at the Talbot family table is … strained?

Episode 7 — Ebb Tide — sees Lily giving her army some thing of a mission.   AND sees Dorian become more uneasy.

With unfortunate results for her: as Dorian organises her kidnapping … by himself, Henry Jekyll (Shazad Latif) and Victor Frankenstein (Harry Treadaway).

Whilst this is going on?   Sir Malcolm (Timothy Dalton), Ethan (Josh Hartnett) and Kaeteney (Wes Studi) are heading back to Europe: Kaeteney has had a vision of Ethan rescuing Vanessa, and is deeply concerned for her, as a result.

Back in London?   Back in London, Vanessa has been consulting with Catriona …

And come to realise exactly who Dr Sweet is.

In a final confrontation … ?

Things go bady wrong.

Now …

Am I still enjoying the show?

Oh, yes: although I’m very aware it’s going in a different direction to the first two series.

Frankly?

I’m looking forward to the last two episodes …

I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?

I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.

Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.

Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.

Thank you.
