Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 21-12-2016: Snow White Again … !

Right …

It’s now the Solstice.

Which means, of course, that’s it’s the shortest day of the year.

It’s also mean the day that — notionally — I’m supposed to get the window at the back of my hallway.

The handle had broken.

Except … ?

The chap actually turned up a day early.

So it’s done.

I’m thankful.

I’m off to work, today: I’d’ve hated to be late to work because a workman was late!

~≈†≈~

Let’s move on, shall we?

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Debbi* putting in her answers: scoring five out of five in the process.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s themed Teaser, shall we?

Here it is, along with the How To, License and video …

Q1) 21st December saw the official premiere of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.   In which year?
Q2) The premiere was shown in the Carthay Circle Theatre.   That Theatre was in which US city?
Q3) In the film, the Evil Queen desires to be what?
Q4) Famously, the Queen has a Magic … what?
Q5) The Queen attempts to poison Snow White.   By forcing her to eat a poisoned … what?
Q6) Snow White falls into a deep sleep: only to be awoken by a kiss from the … ?
Q7) The film was produced by Walt Disney Productions.   And distributed by which company?
Q8) Versions of Snow White are usually presented in UK theatres: around Christmas-time.   As what kind of play?
Q9) The film was based on a fairy tale: originally collected by Jacob and Wilhelm … whom?
Q10) Finally … in the film version the Evil Queens falls to her death from a what?
Here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …
Q1) Food writer, Pat Chapman, was born: on 20th December, 1940.   He founded what: the Curry Club, the Cheese Society or the United and Antient Crab Eaters of the UK?
A1) The Curry Club.
Q2) Richard 1st of England was captured by Leopold 5th: on 20th December, 1192.   As he was on the way home from the third what: Glastonbury Festival, Crusades or Crab Eaters lodge meeting?
Q3) It’s A Wonderful Life was released: on 20th December, 1946.   Who directed the film?
A3) Frank Capra.   (Capra, himself, sat his family down with the film, every Christmas.   They must have loved him … )
Q4) The UK’s government introduced the bill that allowed council tenants — those of us in public housing, if you didn’t know  — to buy their homes: on 20th December of which year?
A4) 1979.
Q5) Finally … Doctors Without Borders was founded: on 20th December, 1971.   What’s it’s name: in the original French?
I’ll leave you with this thought …
“The word genius is easily used and has been cheapened, but when it is used to describe Walt Disney, reflect that he conceived of this film, in all of its length, revolutionary style and invention, when there was no other like it—and that to one degree or another, every animated feature made since owes it something.”
Film critic, Roger Ebert.
And possibly the only song I could play, today …

Oh, and possibly the strangest cover …

Enjoy you day …

*        Injections, eh, Debbi?   Know what I mean, eh, nudge nudge, wink wink!   Sorry, that’s my instinctive sense of smut on the go!

Good to know some people are actually early. We finally have a date for my mother's cataract operation (11th January) so I'm keeping fingers crossed.

I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?

I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.

Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.

Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.

Thank you.
