Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 26-12-2016: St. Stephen’s Day

2016 is turning into the year that killed celebrities.

I got home. yesterday: from spending Christmas at my family’s place over in Pilgrim’s Hatch.

And managed to get an early — ish — night, having starting ripping some of my presents: so I could watch them later.

Only to have the Breaking News alert go off on both my phone And tablet.

Singer, George Michael, had died: at the age of 53.

Quite what from, no-one’s saying.

I was surprised.

I was never a Wham!, or George Michael fan: but my sisters were.

And frankly?

You couldn’t grow up during the Eighties, without hearing a well written George Michael tune.

It’s one hell of a loss.

It’s also a bit of a mystery, from where I’m sitting: the BBC article is very careful not giving an apparent cause of death.

I may be being morbidly curious, here.

But I’d like to know what killed him!

But let’s move on, shall we?

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Debbi* putting in her answers: scoring five our of five in the process.   The day also saw Olga† leaving us a comment, to say hello, AND see how Xmas was.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?

Here they are, along with the How To, License and video …

Q1) 26th December is the Feast Day of Saint Stephen, generally accepted as the first Christian what: saint, martyr or bishop?

Q5) Finally … The George 6th Chase takes place on the day: at Kempton Park.   What IS that Chase: a boat race, a horse race or a marathon?
Here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …

Saint Stephen.
And, as it’s set on the feast day?   This …

Have a good day.

*        I don’t think the pliers were a problems, Debbi.   I do know Jude liked the Connect Four game I got him.   I won a few of them: and think I’m going to have problems once he gets better at playing!

†        Well, it looks like Carrie Fisher’s safe, Olga: but George Michael … !   Dear, me, but 2016’s turning into one of those years!

  1. It is! I wonder now...
I hope to catch up tomorrow. Must give my mother a hand with the preparations. Here it's also a holiday, not in the whole country but in Catalonia. Take care. And good news, at least about Carrie Fisher.

I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?

I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.

Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.

Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.

Thank you.
