“The truth is always something that is told, not something that is known. If there were no speaking or writing, there would be no truth about anything. There would only be what is.”
Susan Sontag, January 16, 1933 – December 28, 2004.
And this tune …
Have a good day …
* Bloody hell, assaulted! I hope the local police‡ manage to catch whoever did it, Olga! At ANY rate, I could do with that wrench: there’s always something you can use them on, and they’re not that hard. Even to a layman like me. (I used to work in the pub-trade for years: and manage to buy a pair for at least two pubs I worked in. They’re THAT handy, when you’re changing a real ale barrel.
† I certainly hope so, Debbi! (Oh, I mentioned the adjustable wrench to Olga: I’ve ALSO got a copy of They Shoot Horse, Don’t They? on the way. I’ve got more piles of movies, too!)
‡ Bizarrely? The simple fact I’ve used the word, police, got me thinking of the word, fuzz, an old slang term for the force. Which got me thinking of the band, We’ve got A Fuzzbox and We’re Gonna Use It. Pink Sunshine is now ear worming through my head …

I remember the time when 11 pm used to be late for me too. The last 3 1/2 years, I've been working until 11:30 pm, sometimes 1:30 am, if I'm lucky enough to get overtime.
I made the mistake of drinking coca cola, too late in the night, and yesterday I was up til 7 am. Yikes! Got to get back on a schedule of getting to bed by at least 4 am.
I have a day off tomorrow, which is great! I hate Mondays! lol
Q1) Liberia Q2) The Prudent Q3) Isabel I (Isabel the Catholic Queen. Isabella I think might be known us. A momentous year. Reconquered Granada, got to America… Busy, busy!) Q4) Paris Q5) The Medici (Fascinating family) Yes, they came to my rescue and physically removed the assailant from me. It was midday and I imagine somebody must have seen us. Now, too many spoilers about Sherlock. I'm not in the UK, so of course I couldn't watch it. Although I quite agree with the comment about Moriarti.
I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?
I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.
Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.
Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.
Thank you.
* I know many value their online privacy. I respect that. But hope you respect my wish to see who’s commenting on my blog: and my wish for you to introduce your self to me, and to your fellow commentors.
