Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 3-1-2016

Hmmm …

Ageing fan of role playing games that I am … ?

I’ve just literally had had an eye on the RPG’s I remember from my young adulthood.

I’ve just had a look at a few on Amazon!

Eye watering prices, here!

I might just have to look elsewhere!

A shame in one way.

Runequest, in particular, had one of the most interesting background worlds.

I’d love to re-visit Glorantha, at some stage …

Let’s move on, shall we?

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Olga* and Debbi† putting in their answers: with Olga scoring five out of five, and Debbi bagging six.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?

Here they are, along with the How To, Licence and video …

Q2) Roy Jenkins, MP, quit his position: on 3rd January, 1977.   He went on to become president of the what: European Commission, Vatican Bank or Board of Trade?
Q3) More to the point, who’s the current holder of the office?
Q4) That same day — 3rd January, 1977 — saw the formal incorporation of Apple.   The company’s headquarters are in which Californian town?
Q5) Finally … The SALT 2 treaty was signed by the leaders of the USA and the Russian Federation: on 3rd January, 1993.   Name either of the leaders concerned.
Here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …

I’ll leave you with this …
“For myth is alive at once and in all its parts, and dies before it can be dissected.”
J. R, R. Tolkien, 3 January 1892 – 2 September 1973.
And this …

Have a good day …

*        Oh, I’ve got a few of them earmarked, Olga!   I’m still putting together quizzes for Fiverr!   (I’m — ever so slowly — re-writing some of the Friday Question sets: so that every question has an associated Wikipedia/Britannica link.   BIG job, combined with full time work!)

†        I possibly could, Debbi!   I’m still trying To finish some quiz sets for Fiverr!  Oy Veh!   I’m impressed: wouldn’t minded meeting the man, himself, myself.   He says, eyeballing that sentence … (At ANY rate … did you know he was an unofficial advisor on the original Star Trek?   Oh, have a look at the comments … I don’t know if it’s the same Bill, but the co-incidence struck me …)

  2. If Bill did make that comment, based on the date, he did so posthumously! :)

I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?

I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.

Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.

Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.

Thank you.

*   I know many value their online privacy. I respect that. But hope you respect my wish to see who’s commenting on my blog: and my wish for you to introduce your self to me, and to your fellow commentors.
