Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 30-3-2017: Give God A Solo!

My job has it’s ups and downs, it really does.

It’s a temp job: and the hours vary.

This week?   I’ve two days off: despite my best efforts.

Granted, there’s a downside: less pay for the week.   Although the help I get from Universal Credit helps.

The upside to more time off?

Is I get to get some house work done.

Get seem videos done …

And, hopefully?

Catch some TV … or possibly a movie.

I DO know I caught the last two episodes of season one of Stranger Things, last night.

I know I was impressed.

Let’s move on, shall we?

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Mr Strict* and Debbi† putting in their answers: with both scoring five out of five.   The day ALSO saw Olga‡ popping in to saw hello: and heading back from Wales.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?

Here they are, along with the How To, License and video …

Q2) What was the name of the first band Clapton joined: The Yardbirds, the Caged Hens or the Jimi Hendrix Experience?
Q3) Clapton left that first band to join a noted blues band.   Which blues band: the Rolling Stones, John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers or the Band?
Q4) He left his first band, after they had their first hit.   What was it: Pictures of Lily, For Your Love or Crossroads?
Q5) When he left his first band, Clapton was replaced by whom: Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck or Keith Richards?

Q10) Finally … Clapton has repeatedly said one blues musician has been his biggest influence.   Which blues musician: BB King, Hubert Sumlin or Robert Johnson?
Here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …

A2) Theresa May.
Q3) That letter will be sent to the other members of the EU.   How many members: 25, 26 or 27?
A3) 27.
Q4) The process of leaving is under an article of the Treaty of Lisbon.   Which article?
Q5) Finally … how long are the leaving negotiations due to take?
A5) Two years.
I’ll leave you with a thought …
“The only planning I do is about a minute before I play. I desperately try to think of something that will be effective, but I never sit down and work it out note for note.”
Eric Clapton.
And a tune … !

Have a good day!

*        Morning, Mr S … !

†        It seemed appropriate, Debbi: to be honest, Leaving was a last minute addition!   Actually?   My sisters and I grew up on Grandma’s Feather Bed: that ‘soft as a downy chick,’ line always grabbed me.   At least … it did when I eight!

‡        Actually, Olga, today’s got a bit of a musical theme: in case you wanted to pinch it, for the show.   I have to admit, the first time I saw I, Claudius?   It took me a dog’s age to recognise Brian Blessed: he’d shaved the beard off.   Sounds like your cousin’s going to be seriously missed …

  2. I'm taking a webinar in TV series writing right now. The instructor gave a great overview of The Prisoner and why it worked so much better than that horrible remake!

I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?

I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.

Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.

Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.

Thank you.
