That means it’s almost the 15th April.

Saturday, in other words.

Yes, I know I’m working that day.

But you can bet a body part I’ll be recording the opening episode of a series 10 of Dr Who.

I’ll make a confession, here, though.

I was tempted to write taping, there, rather than recording.

You can tell I’m showing my age, there …

John Humphrys has just informed us that the governments of Russia and Iran have announced that — were the US to launch more air-strikes on Syria — they would respond.

Forcefully.

I’m not getting any younger: and I’m used to World Wars One and Two being history, and World War Three — or the idea of it — being science fiction.

I’m hoping we don’t wind up being involved WW3.

I’d rather the situation turned into the Cuban Missile Crisis: and blew over.

A2) Miners.

Q3) Ironically, the band, the Flying Pickets had a big hit, in the early 1980s.   With an a cappella version of which song?

*        Oh, I know, Olga: it’s ALWAYS good when you don’t end up waiting longer or paying more.   It probably helps that Catrina, who runs the shop, and Lucy — their laptop repair person — both ate at KFC when I worked there.   Pointing out the deals on cheap fried chicken possibly left a good impression!   (You know, I’d swear I’ve used Robeson’s cut of Ol’ Man River for a Teaser: blowed if I can remember when, though.)

†        You know, that’s another tune I’m going to have to look up, Debbi!   I DO know I’m thinking I should get Discreet Music … once the payrise turns up, and I can afford some more albums on iTunes … !

‡        Personally?   I believe that’s cue for a song or two.   My question?   How did a small group of left wing activists managed to turn a fantastic pop tune into an even more fantastic piece of church music, and Christmas Number one?
