Right now, Prime Minister, Theresa May, is organising her minority government.
And, behind the scenes? Arranging the details of how her party will work with the Democratic Unionists, in Northern Ireland.
I get the impression that’s going to cause issues.
Apparently? Ruth Davidson, the leader of the Scottish Conservatives, has admitted to reservations.
As Ian Paisley’s old party? Are known to be socially conservative: and opposed to gay marriage, and abortion.
Ms Davidson? Is known to be planning to marry her female partner in the not too distant future.
Personally?
I’m deeply concerned. From the little I know, the DUP are extremely socially conservative: and have had at least one MP endorsed by loyalist paramilitaries.
I was a child in the 1970s: and remember hearing the phrase “a ceasefire has failed,” too many times.
I’m worried this will set up a nasty situation reminiscent of the Troubles.
Here’s hoping … !

Let’s move on, shall we?
Yesterday’s Teaser saw Olga* and Debbi† putting in their answers: with both scoring five out of five.
Let’s see how everyone doe with today’s questions, shall we?
Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, born 10th June, 1921.
Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.
Enjoy the day …
* Oh, I know the term, Olga: I just didn’t know what it meant! I’ve not seen the film, either: although I know it’s got a very good reputation! Wasn’t it Gary Oldman that wrote and directed it? (I think this government’s got issues. The DUP aren’t Sinn Féin: but had links with Loyalist paramilitaries. Not pleasant … )
† Sorry, Debbi … I think you’re stuck with him! At least for the moment. (Although the DUP would possibly get on with the Tea Party … )
Q1) The Fugitive Q2) Luís de Camões Q3) Swaying Q4) A perch Q5) Martin Luther King Jr. I'm also worried about it. Yes, it was Gary Oldman. I watched it many years back. I must check because I think I had it on DVD but not sure if I still do.
I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?
I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.
Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.
Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.
Thank you.
* I know many value their online privacy. I respect that. But hope you respect my wish to see who’s commenting on my blog: and my wish for you to introduce your self to me, and to your fellow commentors.

There's always the hope for impeachment. But then we get Pence, which I'm not sure is much better!
