Q3)One person was killed, and forty-one people injured, when an IRA bomb went off: on 17th July, 1974. Where: the Tower of London, the London Eye or the House of Commons?
“I pray every day and I think everybody should. I don’t think you can be up here and look out the window as I did the first day and look out at the Earth from this vantage point. We’re not so high compared to people who went to the moon and back. But to look out at this kind of creation out here and not believe in God is, to me, impossible. It just strengthens my faith.”
John Glenn, July 18, 1921 – December 8, 2016.
Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.
Have a nice day.
* You’re right, there, Olga‡: THAT I couldn’t! And I’m with you: it’s certainly a needed breath of fresh air! And, yes: their deaths are sad. Romero’sª in particular: it strikes me he should’ve had a good decade left!
† She should do well, there, Debbi‡º. Did you ever see her in Attack the Block? Worth a watch, Attack the Block! Yeah, it WAS nice to see Alex Kingston’s reaction. I’ve one question, though. How on earth did John Barrowman^ react???!!!
‡ I know a few fans are concerned about overseas sales: feeling this will have a seriously bad effect. I think it might: but on the other hand, feel the BBC’s overseas sales department would have prepared for that.
^ I don’t know: but the phrase, over the top comes to mind… !
ª In one interview? Romero stated zombies couldn’t run. Apparently, their ankles would snap.
º There’s other sad news for Dr Who fans, yesterday: Trevor Baxter, best remembered as Professor Litefoot in Talons of Weng Chiang, died. He’ll be missed: especially as he and Christopher Benjamin were recording a series of Jago and Litefoot spin offs.
I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?
I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.
Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.
Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.
Thank you.
* I know many value their online privacy. I respect that. But hope you respect my wish to see who’s commenting on my blog: and my wish for you to introduce your self to me, and to your fellow commentors.
† Your Facebook, X/Twitter, Blogger, Instagram, TikTok or LinkedIn profile are acceptable. I also like seeing folks webpages.
I never could understand why a normal person couldn't outrun a zombie for that very reason! :)
