* Oh, I was working, Debbi: a ten hour shift. Still, it’s all hours! And sitting down, unlike working in a certain well known fried-chicken restaurant. Talking of chicken? I can never resist this …
Q1) Fox Q2) Nuclear warfare Q3) Sicily Q4) New Zealand Q5) African Americans Hi, Paul. I hope you are well. Sorry I haven't visited much. My Mum is going back to Spain in a couple of weeks and in the meantime I'm trying to teach her a bit how to use a computer (I'll give her my old notebook), we're going out when we can and also trying to do a few things in the house that required at least two people (I am not sure how successful we'll be with some of those. I'm terrible at DIY and my mother is not as good as she used to be). I hope you're feeling better from the cold. And I agree about the money issue. I'm pretty sure I have read that the Romans stopped expanding because they could no longer keep paying, feeding, clothing, etc... a huge army. Of course, there were other things but money, at least at the moment, talks. I've just read a book by Melanie Klein (No Is Not Enough) that talks about how disasters are exploited to introduce measures that otherwise would have not passed, so that's another danger. I'll try and visit when I can. All the best.
I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?
I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.
Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.
Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.
Thank you.
* I know many value their online privacy. I respect that. But hope you respect my wish to see who’s commenting on my blog: and my wish for you to introduce your self to me, and to your fellow commentors.

I spent a great birthday on the porch reading the script for "Forrest Gump". Damn thing made me laugh and cry, just reading it! :)
