American Horror Story — Series 6: Roanoke — Chapter 6, Chapter 7 and Chapter 8.

17th June, 2018

No: you’re right …

I’m not especially devout, either.

But … ?

I’m not a fan of football.

Quite what to point at, that makes me distinctly uninterested in the world’s national game … ?

I really couldn’t tell you.

Suffice to say …

Suffice?

Ha!

At any rate: I’m not one for the football: having grown up when BBC1 screened first division games.

And would delay delay Dr Who, if need be, when a game went into extra time.

Something that’s left me preferring to not watch the silliness if it’s on.

And not recognising a professional footballer should he walk into somewhere I’m working.

Which is true, actually.   We had Neil ‘Razor’ Ruddock turn up at one pub I worked in, not long after he did I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here.

I thought he’d been on Big Brother.

And, equally as honestly?   I’d probably only recognise Vinnie Jones because he’s been in a couple of films I’ve seen.

Not because of his footballing career.

At any rate, the point I’m trying to make?

Is that I’m not a football fan.

And that, given I’ve a day off, during the 2018 World Cup?

I wasn’t actually planning to watch the games.

No.

It’s a Sunday off.

Beyond washing my pants, topping up my mobile and a few other bits and bobs in — you never know when blank CDs or DVDs will be handy — it’s been quiet.

I wanted an evening not watching football.

I wanted more American Horror Story.

More of the sixth season …

More Roanoke

Ahem!

Episode 6Chapter 4 — sees Sidney (Cheyenne Jackson), the producer of My Roanoke Nightmare — the reconstruction that makes up the first half of the series — wrap up the series.

Only to decide on the sequel.

Getting the re-enactors, and their real world counterparts, back at the house …

For the Blood Moon!

Episode 7Chapter 5 — sees the house occupants run afoul of Agnes (Kathy Bates): who’s become more psychotic than the character of The Butcher: murdering those around her.

Episode 8 —  sees Lee (Adina Porter), Audrey  (Sarah Paulson) and Monet (Angela Bassett) being tortured … by the Polks.

The hillbillies?   Aren’t as gentle as their TV equivalents.

Now … ?

Am I giving these episode of American Horror Story.

Unfortunately, yes.

Sufficient to say it’s looking as good as the earlier episodes.

And, come Tuesday, my next day off?

I’m intent on watching it … rather than the game …

I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?

I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.

Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.

Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.

Thank you.
