Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 4-9-2018: The City of What …

4th September, 2018.

Right …

I’m mildly blessed: I’ve actually had a pay rise.

Granted: it’s only a pound an hour.

And granted, it’ll get eaten by the ticket price rise in January.

But right now?

It’s helpful.

Let’s move on, shall we?

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Debbi* putting in her answers: scoring five out of five in the process.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?

Here they are, along with the How To, License and video …

Q1) El Pueblo de Nuestra Señora La Reina de los Ángeles de Porciúncula was founded: on 4th September, 1781.   By forty-four settlers from which country?

Q4) Which of the city’s neighbourhood’s is the USA’s movie capital?
Q5) Finally?   The Pueblo is also known as the city of … what?
Here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …

A1) The Red Ensign.   (It’s also known as the Red Duster.)

Q5) Finally … the UK’s National Trust bought a Scottish island called: on 3rd September, 1954.   It’s famous for jumpers: and a sanctuary for which type of animals?

Here’s a thought …
“[The Pueblo] is the world’s biggest third-class city.”

As Billy Joel spent time playing in a lounge bar in the city … ?

As NWA are from not far away …

And, given the San Fernando Valley’s in the city … ?

I’ll let you listen to what ever one grabs you.

Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.

Have a good day.

*        Don’t I know it, Debbi?   It’s … well … what can I tell you?   Apart from the fact the Radio Times has nothing.   Frankly, Wikipedia’s more informative.

I'm back! It was pretty quiet out there and hotter than I expected it. I mostly did some reading and walked a fair bit... I hope you are all well and good on your raise (I agree that everything helps).

I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?

I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.

Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.

Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.

Thank you.
