* The kernel panic’s not too much of an issue, Olga: it’s basically the Mac equivalent of a blue screen of death. There’s a software conflict that caused my machine to fall over. If it keeps happening, I’ll need to done some fiddling about. It’s not necessarily stunning, though. I’ll keep my eyes peeled for you: if you could pass my condolences to the family?
† It’s the one that inspired Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein novel, Debbi: it looks like quite the visitor attraction! As for Catalina … ? Overall, it’s been ok: the niggles I’ve had are relatively minor: dragging links to the desktop, what-have-you. The big worry I had? Was Apple’s replacing the iTunes app with the Music, TV and Podcast apps. Which — overall — has gone a lot better than expected. And, as I mentioned to Olga? A one off kernel panic’s a relatively minor glitch: that would only need seeing to, if it happened frequently. What surprised me was the fact I haven’t seen one happen for years. It’s the usual drill: back everything up, first. (I’ve posted the Can You Hear Me? review to Twitter. So you know!)
I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?
I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.
Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.
Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.
Thank you.
* I know many value their online privacy. I respect that. But hope you respect my wish to see who’s commenting on my blog: and my wish for you to introduce your self to me, and to your fellow commentors.
† Your Facebook, X/Twitter, Blogger, Instagram, TikTok or LinkedIn profile are acceptable. I also like seeing folks webpages.
As an EXTRA thought, Debbi?
ReplyDeleteUnder Mohave, I need to keep iTunes open: in order for my Apple TV to access my music library.
Since the Catalina upgrade, my Apple TV seems to able to access my music library, regardless of if the Music app was open.
Additionally?
Granted I’ve lost a few 32-bit games — which I’ll miss — but have been able to find a few 64 bit alternatives.
There's always something, huh? :)
