“Before the terrifying prospects now available to humanity, we see even more clearly that peace is the only goal worth struggling for. This is no longer a prayer but a demand to be made by all peoples to their governments — a demand to choose definitively between hell and reason.”
* Yes, it’s officially official: I’m having to redo the post in the legacy form: the NEW one has made a complete mess of today’s post!
† Argh! Dratted Blogger! At ANY rate, Olga: I’ve got unlimited ’net connection, but I’m on a pay as you go landline! The day my mobile — with all those free minutes — starts working, the happier I’ll be! (Actually, Matilda didn’t cause issues … she caused a civil war! It gets a mention in the Brother Cadfael novels.)
‡ Debbi, have you switched to the New Blogger for you blogs? It’s a pain!
^ That’s Ronnie all over, Trevor: one blink and you miss three frames! At any rate, he’s up against Ding Junhui in the second round: it could be interesting.
Q1) Hiroshima Q2) Gay Q3) US Army Airforce Q4) Little Boy Q5) Nagasaki That's great. Yes, I imagined you must have unlimited, otherwise it's incredibly expensive (I tried using mobile data at first when my parents didn't have an internet connection here and it was so expensive, even avoiding heavy usage, that I gave up). Sorry about Blogger. I keep resisting the change to the new editor on Wordpress. Yes, I know it allows you to do many things, but those are things I don't need and don't want to do. (The problem is that a lot of new plugins seem to only work for the new editor. Oh, well). I was surprised you didn't include the song "Enola Gay" on your list. I haven't been able to get it off my head since I saw the question. I look forward to your next article.

May someone have mercy on us, huh? :)
Oh, check out Random & Sundry Things, for my take on the U.S. antitrust hearings. Especially concerning one company whose name has been changed because it reads funnier that way. :) Here's my evil grin:
I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?
I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.
Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.
Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.
Thank you.
* I know many value their online privacy. I respect that. But hope you respect my wish to see who’s commenting on my blog: and my wish for you to introduce your self to me, and to your fellow commentors.
