I’ve officially got another phone meeting, today: with my Shaw Trust case worker.
The people running the Work and Health programme for the Job Centre, in other words.
Given the funding situation?
I think I’m going to want a word …

One thing I do know … ?
Is that — apparently — the NHS have started a programme for those of us with type two diabetes.
It’s a series of soups and shakes designed to help those of us who have it — and who are overweight — lose weight: and hopefully put the condition into remission.
It sound similar to something I tried in my early twenties.
It worked, then.
But I’m very aware that it would be a lot more difficult, now.
I’ve some thirty years worth of bad habits built up, since then.
Q1)The invasion that started World War 2 occurred on 1st September of which year?
Q2)1st September, 1960, saw the British Government announce that what would be allowed to open in 1961: brothels, betting shops or casinos?
Q3)1st September, 1939 saw Hitler order the mass extermination of the mentally ill. And who else: Jewish people, Romani or the disabled?
Q4)Uzbekistan declared itself independent from the USSR: on 1st September, 1991. What’s the capital of Uzbekistan?
Q5)Finally … ? 1st September, 1896, saw the birth of A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. What was the name of the religious group he founded in 1966?
* I’m going to have to keep my eyes peeled, I know that, Olga! Cheers for including the link, by the way: I thought Goldbach’s Conjuncture was the one about maps … but it turns out that’s the four colour problem! Thank god there’s a Simple English Wikipedia entry for that, I’d never be able to explain it! (Blogger’s behaving itself, today …)
† Hmmm … they’d have to be a years apart, Debbi! Just to tie into the date … ! Oh, did you hear about Elon’s Pig experiment? I’m going to have to start re-reading Banks … !

Just 2 majors errors today. Your vocal introduction has the wrong day. Both Ladies answered 10 questions but you said they only got 5 out of 5.
Q1) 1939 Q2) Betting shops Q3) The disabled (I used to have pretty lengthy conversations with a patient who had bipolar disorder but also traits of quite a few personality disorders [narcissistic most noticeably] and he was always complimentary of Hitler and the Nazis. I never tired of reminding him that he would have been exterminated if he had lived in Germany or one of the conquered countries at the time…) Q4) Tashkent Q5) The International Society for Krishna Consciousness (or Hare Krishnas for short) Oh, wow! It's difficult to keep all the Mathematical problems separate in one's head (at least in mine). I forgot to mention that I thought your video looked great yesterday. On the Musk front... I heard about the experiments, but they didn't mention the details and I forgot to check. I've read one or two novels by Banks but not on this subject. It brought to my mind Philip K. Dick as well... One of these days I'll get the time to read the book I have on Musk, but by that time it will probably be obsolete. Good luck with the phone call...
I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?
I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.
Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.
Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.
Thank you.
* I know many value their online privacy. I respect that. But hope you respect my wish to see who’s commenting on my blog: and my wish for you to introduce your self to me, and to your fellow commentors.
