It’s officially official: today is — in the UK — a public holiday.
Which means … ? Well, not a lot, from where I am.
It’s another day, and another — ha! — dollar.
Saying that … ?
At least the snooker World Championship’s on.
Mark Selby’s leading Sean Murphy 10-7, at the moment.
In other words?
It’s not over yet.

Let’s move on, shall we?
Yesterday’s Teaser saw Olga*, Trevor†, Mum‡, Debbi^ and Edithª putting in their answers: with Olga, Trevor, Mum and Edith scoring five out of five, and Debbi on four.
Let’s see how they, and you, does with today’s questions, shall we?
* Cheers, Olga, I managed to correct the date, there: it’s my own silly fault, that one! And that’s ALWAYS the thing: if an actor’s not entertaining, all the Oscar’s on the planet aren’t worth much! (Gene Kelly sounds even more multitalented than Danny Kaye: apparently, Kaye’s the only non-chef to win the relevant Meilleur Ouvrier de France.)
† If you bump into Dom, again, Trevor, tell him I said Hi! (I seem to recall he had a sensible computer.)
Hang on, you have a numbness behind the eyes? I’ll stay tactfully silent! At any rate, my second one should be in June: I’m still waiting for the txt …
‡ Hello, Mum!
^ It’s a pleasure, Debbi! Oh, I’ve got the rest of them, as well. I’ve emailed you …
ª Wow! That’s what I call skill, Edithº! I hope there was a mattress under that hedgerow, at the end! I think the best we could manage was this …
º Oh, well done for yesterday’s score, Edith: five out of five!

Most of my body and brain back to normal especially after 7 ½ hours unbroken sleep last night.
I see we have a weather warning of strong winds from 15.00 today. And again breakfast time Tuesday.
I can expect a load of plastic dustbins and recycling bins in my front garden. Especially from the neighbour in front of me who was taken into Hospital 2 Wednesdays ago.
If I remember right Dom works for the company that makes his computer.
Q2) The Savoy (I’ve been to quite a few of the London theatres, but I’m not sure about the Savoy...)
Q3) Ukraine
Q4) North Pole
Q5) Roodmas The skating video reminded me of Charles Chaplin in Modern Times, when he becomes the guard at a department store, and decides to use the skates... Yes, I remember that clue about Danny Kaye. Sometimes it's difficult to understand why some people got to be big stars, but in some cases, it's evident they had everything needed and more. Here it isn't a holiday today, although I'd got a message from Anna telling me she woke up with symptoms of a cold, and she'll later tell if we have a class or not... I hope at least it's not the usual suspect.
I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?
I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.
Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.
Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.
Thank you.
* I know many value their online privacy. I respect that. But hope you respect my wish to see who’s commenting on my blog: and my wish for you to introduce your self to me, and to your fellow commentors.
† Your Facebook, X/Twitter, Blogger, Instagram, TikTok or LinkedIn profile are acceptable. I also like seeing folks webpages.

Thank you, Paul. Your quizzes are a fun way to fill in my knowledge gaps.
That routine in the clip you showed us took a great deal of talent to do. He made it look easy.
