* I suspect we may — may — have water deliveries coming, Olga. I’m hoping not. But with drought, and more heat health warnings, it’s going to be bumpy.
I’m the same with reviews: I’ll take notes on each episode, and can — if needed — play it on my computer as I’m summarising the plot. The bit that takes the time is having ready made text: with the added hyperlinks. I’m just grateful most series are around the ten to thirteen episodes mark: doing an older series, with twenty-six episodes, would be a bit much!
Oh … did I mention Jude’s latest … ?
†Hello, Mum!
‡ Hang on, was that in Battlestar Galactica, Debbi? I must’ve missed that! I know Walter’s in Babylon 5: playing a psychic cop called Alfred Besterª.
I knew I was right about Callis! :D
I’ve just had a quick look at Amazon’s US page: they’ve got some 2tb drives for around the $60 mark. I’ve a nasty feeling you MAY need something larger, thought, is that right … ? They’ve got this: but that looks a bit pricy! It’s $119.98, about £100: I’d have to save up! (I’ve a 10tb and and 8tb drive, if that’s any help.)
ª Actually, Debbi, the novelist the character’s named after the chap who wrote The Demolished Man: I think it might appeal.
Q5) Jaws. I love that film, and no matter how many times I’ve watched it, it always makes me jump when the shark shoots up next to the boat. (OK, the same in Alien when the cat jumps out of a compartment...) Gosh, yes, here the temperatures are supposed to be going up. Usually (fingers crossed) it doesn't get quite as hot here as in Andalucia or in the interior (even where we used to go on holiday in Galicia has seen pretty extreme weather. Mind you, Ourense, the nearest biggish city, is down on a basin surrounded by hills and gets very hot in the summer, for that region), the problem being that it is quite humid, so it feels hotter than it is, and the temperature doesn't drop much at night, so sleeping is tricky. We've had (in the whole of Spain) more fires this year already than in the last few years, and the summer isn't over yet, so... I hope things don't get too extreme there. I got somebody recruiting psychiatrists for New Zealand getting in touch and one can't help but think... Well, it's winter now there...
I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?
I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.
Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.
Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.
Thank you.
* I know many value their online privacy. I respect that. But hope you respect my wish to see who’s commenting on my blog: and my wish for you to introduce your self to me, and to your fellow commentors.

The BBC’s just confirmed it, Olga: we’ve an Amber Weather warning in place: from Thursday to Sunday

At 07.30 this morning it was cold and misty. I had to put on a cardi to go to the paper shop. Now that the sun is out it is getting warmer.
