* Hello, Mum! (It’s the UK’s navy, Mum, not Great Britain’s!)
† Mum’s got a wooden carving of an owl, Olga: something I picked up for her in Camden Market. And, yes: ‘Great Britain’ excludes Northern Ireland. I’m always careful about Northern Ireland’s name: calling it ‘Ulster’ can be problematic.
I hope you had an umbrella!
‡ It’s a hell of a lot of Bernard, Debbi! The upcoming specials are his last work: he died not long after filming them.
Oh, did I mention this video? It’s fascinating stuff … !
Q5) electricity I haven't counted how many owls I have. Perhaps I'll do that on a rainy day. We did have umbrellas, and I had one of those thin waterproof jackets that fold into a small bag, the problem was that it got quite chilly and I was wearing sandals, so my feet were not happy. (I thought about wearing something else, but the only waterproof footware I have is wintery and quite heavy... I hope you enjoy your nephew's visit.
I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?
I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.
Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.
Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.
Thank you.
* I know many value their online privacy. I respect that. But hope you respect my wish to see who’s commenting on my blog: and my wish for you to introduce your self to me, and to your fellow commentors.
