Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 6-2-2024 — The National Day of the Sámi

6th February, 2024: the Sámi.

Right … Tuesdays exist!

You know it: I know it!

We know it!

Yeah, OK, Paul enough of the burbling!

It’s Tuesday: so that means it’s the day after I finished a review of episode 1 of classic Dr Who story, The Underwater Menace.

Feel free to hit the like button on there!   Or share it … or something … !

On a more serious note?

Today is the first date that those of us who are eligible, will receive the last Cost of Living payment.

The scheme will pay us between now, and the 22nd of this month.

That?

Is due to be the last payment people will receive.

I’m looking forward to getting it: it’s a lifeline.

But fully expect it to be the last of such payments.

Unless the Chancellor does something spectacular in this year’s budget, in March.

That … ?

Is two days before my birthday: it would be nice if something positive happened!

Let’s move on, shall we?

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Olga* Mum† and Debbi‡ putting in their answers: with everybody scoring five out of five.

*        Yeah: agencies sound like a mixed bunch, wherever we are, Olga!   And so long as the birds in Barcelona aren’t Bustards, you should be OK!

        Hello, Mum!

I’ll have to go and have a look at that, Debbi!   It’s amazing to think how fast time flies … !

    Q2) Laplanders

    Q3) reindeer

    Q4) clothing

No, I don't think I've seen those birds here. Mind you, we have a lot of monk parakeets (here, cotorra Argentina), and they make a lot of noise, although not that kind of noise...
    Good luck on the payment.

I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?

I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.

Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.

Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.

Thank you.
